Raman spectroscopy |
Raman spectroscopy relies upon inelastic scattering of photons, known as Raman scattering. The Raman peaks are interpreted as individual chemical moieties, thus providing an insight into the chemistry of a reaction and the extent of reaction progress. Monochromatic light, usually from a laser in the visible range is used as a source for photons. Kaiser RXN1 raman spectrometer has laser wavelength of 785 nm. |
